Organised by the Decorative Lighting Manufacturers and Distributors Association (DLMDA) will be introducing brand new products at the show from 19-22nd January.
The 2014 edition is no different and will run from Hall 3 at INTERIORS UK a uniquely compact and perfectly formed event showcasing the latest in products and technology developments in the lighting industry.
For the first time in the history of the exhibition the Lighting Show will feature its very own seminar theatre, which will welcome some of the industry’s most knowledgeable experts for a series of informative talks. Among many names already confirmed to be speaking are Mike Simpson, Technical & Design Director at Philips Lighting, who will be giving a seminar entitled ‘Lighting Trends and Innovations’. Other speakers include Jonathan Rush, Associate Lighting Designer at Hoare Lea, and Steve Allen of Connect Intelligence. Steve will be speaking about ‘New Lighting Technologies’, drawing experience from his role at the forefront of the lighting revolution with a global market leader.
Many fantastic lighting brands are already set to appear at the show, including brand new exhibitors More Than Bags. Mandy Beal, co-owner, spoke of her excitement to be joining the show for the first time: “We’ve chosen the Lighting Show at INTERIORS UK 2014 to launch our UK-made lighting range as it is the premier, specialist trade event of the year – there is always a great gathering of lighting specialists! We are very much looking forward to our unique lamps and shades being seen by key buyers in the industry.” Mandy also revealed that the brand will be exclusively launching a brand new range of embroidered paper lamp shades at the show. The shades, which are crafted from Lokta paper – a paper made from Daphne papyrus, a plant that can only be found at an altitude of 6500ft or more in the Himalayan mountains – are hand made and embroidered by hand, and buyers can customise their product according to size, shape and colour in order to create a bespoke item.
Clifton Lighting, distributer of several world-leading lighting brands, will be returning to the Lighting Show this year. The brand are proud to announce that they too will be unveiling brand new products to the market at INTERIORS UK, including 2 modular ranges from Venetian brand Metallux. These two ranges will have faultless chromation which will never become tarnished or discoloured – a promise that comes with a lifetime guarantee. Clifton will also be exhibiting new ranges from fellow Italian lighting brand Voltolina, including the brand new Murano fitting.
Also joining the stellar line-up at the Lighting Show is Scandinavian brand Nordlux, who will be exhibiting a wide range of products including their Modular Light shades, which are made from thick, sharply cut acrylic designed to give the look of glass. In addition, Albioncourt will be bringing their British designs to INTERIORS UK, including 1200mm drum lamp shades designed by Laura Oakes for a private client, as well as a brand new lighting range. Albioncourt will be exhibiting alongside a host of other popular lighting brands, including Illuminati, Oaks Lighting and Illuma to name but a few.
The Lighting Show will run from Hall 3 at INTERIORS UK, the definitive interiors trade event, at the NEC Birmingham from the 19-22nd January.
