RAK Ceramics’ Jeanette Newman and Damian Shaw have been promoted to positions of Deputy Directors at the expanding Hampshire-based business. Jeanette moves up from Senior Office Manager/Commercial Manager to Deputy Operations Director, whilst National Sales Manager, Damian, takes on the role of Deputy Sales Director.
Since joining the original company – Rob Jull Agencies – in January 2000, as Office Administration Assistant, Jeanette has progressed through the company to include roles of Personal Assistant, Project Manager and, most recently, to Senior Office Manager/Commercial Manager. In her new role, Jeanette will be involved in internal operations, including sales, warehousing and logistics. She will also work closely with Sales Director ¬ Alvin Biggs ¬ in product sourcing and the introduction of new products to the UK portfolio.
During his eight years at RAK Ceramics, Damian has progressed from Area to National Sales Manager, having previously gained extensive bathroom and tile industry experience in a variety of high profile, sales-focused roles. In his new position, Damian will focus on strengthening his existing sales team – with two new Area Sales Managers – as well as restructuring the existing sales team’s territories. He will also look after key accounts and focus on further growth in the Midlands region.
