Luca Nichetto Presents New Designs at Milan Design Week

Luca NichettoThe 2014 edition of the Milan Design Week sees Luca Nichetto present with different products and exhibitions, distributed in several spaces at Fuorisalone and Fiera Rho. Again this year the designer has established several collaborations with international companies such as the Swedish Offecct, that presents the sound-absorbing panels’ system Notes, the Canadian Mjölk, for which Luca Nichetto designed the coffee set Sucabaruca, the russian Dymov Ceramics, that introduces their black ceramic tableware Cheburashka and the Botswanian Mabeo, with the bookcase Pula.

 

Nichetto has consolidated his long-lived collaborations and also started several new ones with many italian companies such as Arflex, that introduces the new lounge chair Ladle, the bergere Serena and the ottoman Doge, Cassina, that presents new additional products for the Torei collection and shows, for the first time in Italy, the new versions of the Motek chair and De Padova, that exhibits the new model variants of the Deck chair. Continues the collaboration with Casamania, that celebrates its 30 years of activity, ten of which spent working with the Venetian designer, presenting their new chair La-Dina, reinterpretation of the traditional Tyrolean chairs and 05-Bridges for Islands, a collection of upholstered seats co-designed in 2013 with Oki Sato from Nendo.

 

Luca Nichetto has also designed and curated several shows during this year’s Salone del Mobile: Casamania tells the spirit and the history of the company through a new flexible multimedia exhibition system, designed by the designer to celebrate the company’s anniversary; the Swedish company Kinnarps displays new environments for work and creativity in the installation The Scandinative Workspace, created by Luca Nichetto. During the installation Walk The Line it would be possible to admire his ceramic and porcelain sets created in collaboration with Lera Moiseeva for Mjölk and Dymov Ceramics.
