The London Fabric Show being hosted by British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM) will be held for the second time at the Chelsea FC Stamford Bridge on February 29 and March 1.
The 2016 event will feature products from 33 mills and distributors from the UK, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Turkey. The London Fabric Show will give British upholstery, bed and mattress manufacturers, CFC and retailers a unique opportunity to see some of the best fabrics available all at one, very exciting venue.
The Show will have cottons, linens, velvets, chenille’s, bouclés, lining fabrics and tweeds, everything from mattress ticking to light and heavy duty jacquards on display. There will also be leathers, faux leathers and synthetic fabrics from which to choose. The majority of the mills exhibiting have their own in-house design teams and offer buyers the opportunity to customise their fabric choices, ensuring exclusivity in designs and colour combinations.
Exhibitors including Ter Molst, Symphony Mills, Boyteks Textiles, Warwick, Annabel Textiles, British Velvets, Muvantex, FSN UK, Green Street Textiles, Abraham Moon & Sons, Ketts, Prostex SPA, and Clarkson Textiles will bring new weaves and ranges, as well large selections from their current catalogues.
While traditional methods of weaving still abound, fabric production has seen huge advances with the introduction of high-tech production methods. This is particularly evident in the production of new flame retardant fabrics. Several exhibitors at the Show are at the forefront of this technology and will be pleased to show buyers how this is improving the manufacture of even safer fabrics, many of which exceed current regulatory requirements for both domestic and commercial use.
In addition to visiting The London Fabric Show 2016, visitors will have the chance to visit the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour.
