La Cornue Launches Flamberge at iSaloni 2014

MOW_2011_06312For a long time, the traditional gas rotisserie remained the privilege of professional chefs and butchers but La Cornue adopted in the 1960s, revamping and renaming it the Flamberge. Over the years, it was domesticated, refined and adapted to be suitable for even the most sophisticated of home kitchens.

Today, the 3rd generation Flamberge boasts impeccable looks and appeal, a direct descendent from the prestigious Château line (30 colours and 6 finishes). It celebrates cooking performance, luxury, tact and good manners all at once.

The 2013 Flamberge proudly displays its very simple functions, designed with elegance to dissimulate the formidable work of La Cornue’s technical department. The team have realised an amazing feat creating a gas rotisserie that is professional and domestic, smoke-free, easy to fit, does not spit, has a silent rotisserie mechanism ensuring even all-over roasting with no grating noise from the chain…all this with energy consumption reduced to a bare minimum.

These challenges have been met and exceeded. Two buttons are all it takes to turn on the Flamberge and start roasting poultry, meat, fish and even fruit.

The diffused heat is spread evenly at the back by a series of ceramic fibre clusters. The precious cooking juices are collected in a long dish in the lower section which can also be used for vegetables.

The Flamberge requires no particular installation. It can be easily fitted in a piece of furniture or a wall and the heat naturally dissipates from the front.
