Akira Minagawa’s beautiful installation FOREST COMES HOME. showcased in the Kvadrat showroom received much acclaim for its sophisticated yet playful quality achieved by delicate colours and shapes, and was counted among the “Top 8 installations to see” at the fair by some design publications. Minagawa’s new textile collection for Kvadrat is beautifully incorporated in the installation, presenting an alternative way to experience textiles.

Chinese design duo Neri&Hu managed to captivate an essence of Kvadrat with their innovative take on our fair stand design this year by creating a welcoming, yet elegant space with personality and sumptuous colours. Neri&Hu’s use of genuine materials, wooden furniture and warm colours aimed to create an intimate setting, making guests feel at home in the midst of design fair bustle.

Last but not least, the ELLE Deco International Design Award 2016 went to the Kvadrat/Raf Simons 2015 collection in the Fabrics category, a recognition of Kvadrat’s ongoing collaboration with Raf Simons.
