Concept III textiles, Red Bank, N.J., U.S.A., has announced that Korean-based Daejin has now received bluesign accreditation. Concept III has been working with the ultra-soft high pile maker since 2009.
Switzerland-based bluesign Technologies AG is a consortium dedicated to promoting and facilitating environmentally sustainable, toxin-free textile production. With the support and aid of Concept III, Daejin has now passed the stringent bluesign review.

Bluesign screening includes a detailed on-site evaluation of the environment, resource and workplace situation of textile manufacturing sites according to the five principles of the bluesign standard: resource productivity, consumer safety, air emission, water emission and occupational health and safety.

According to Concept III director of sales Chris Parkes, “All outdoor apparel brands and their customers today place a high priority on, and share a sincere regard for, the environment. We are dedicated to assuring that all our textile and technology partners comply with world standards for resource efficiency and sustainable practices.”
