The phase of experimentation and well-being in the bathroom sector continues, pursued by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba for Kartell by Laufen. Indeed on occasion of Milan Design week, the brand’s creative directors will present a conceptual exercise on washbasins, which combine design and research by means of a design setting, along a path of experimentation focused on exploring an innovative and functional vision for the bathroom.
A sort of high emotional impact temporary museum is taking shape inside the showroom, along a journey of suggestions.
An exploration of different and simple forms in new and fun contours. A play on research inspired by the world of iconic Japanese tableware ceramics which are expressed in prototypes characterised by extremely free and fun forms aimed at setting a sort of great table for a feast. The surrounding orange walls bear gigantographies which offer ironic reflections on this dreamy relationship between food and the bathroom world, where toothbrushes become chopsticks, soap dishes become plates and so on.
Then there’s the material, Saphirkeramik, high performance ceramics which enable the production of thin, light elements that are both eye-catching and pleasant to the touch.
A new interpretation of everyday modern living requirements, where the relationship with the domestic environment and the bathroom in particular focuses on aspects linked above all to a sort of emotional dimension, enshrined in a rediscovery of oneself, one’s own well-being and care of one’s own body.
