Spanish designer Jaime Hayon unveiled his new seating collection Aleta for the Valencia-based brand Viccarbe during this year’s Salone del Mobile exhibition from April 4 to 9. Aleta in Spanish means “fin”. The seating collection has been inspired by the physiognomy and movement of sharks.
The collection composes of a chair and stool, and is designed and created for use in public spaces like restaurants, hotels or offices as well as residential spaces. The subtle details in the structure of the legs and the continuous movement towards its backrest, reflects the personality and character of Jaime Hayon.
Each chair can be upholstered in fabric or leather and is set on a slim metal frame in white, black, altea blue and sand. A wooden base is also available in oak, wenge, cognac and ash.
