Filled to bursting with fresh ideas for your home, the imm cologne and LivingKitchen trade fair duo gets underway on 16.01.2017. A new addition next year is the Designers Market in Hall 1. Exclusively on the public days, products will be exhibited here, which – by contrast with Halls 2 to 11, where direct sales are not permitted – will be available for visitors to buy. The Designers Market is being organised by blickfang and Heimatdesign in collaboration with imm cologne.
With their experience and their keen instincts for must-have products, the team from blickfang will transform Hall 1 into a shopping paradise for visitors. Consequently, no established companies are represented at the “Designers Market by blickfang”, rather the individual designers themselves. Conversations between designers and visitors are expressly encouraged as this is how fashion becomes tangible and furniture develops a character. In short, the “Designers Market by blickfang” will gather unconventional and distinctive designs – and visitors will take away unique stories and encounters, as well as new favourite pieces. “imm cologne is the most important furniture trade fair in the German-speaking world and stands for innovation, inspiration and design quality”, says Jennifer Reaves, Director of blickfang. “We are incredibly proud that Koelnmesse sees us as a partner who shares these values – and approached us to establish the first shopping platform in the history of imm cologne.” Jennifer added further.
With Heimatdesign, Koelnmesse has gained another prestigious partner for the new Designers Market format. Heimatdesign is a platform and showcase for contemporary design from western Germany. By participating in the Designers Market, the initiative hopes to develop Cologne as a location for creative design ideas. The mix of genres – from fashion, graphic and object design to photography – is an important starting point.
