Lisa Endress, who joined IDSA as an intern in June 2013 fresh out of Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, PA, recently made the leap to the Society’s full-time staff as Marketing Coordinator.
Her core responsibilities include supporting all marketing efforts by assisting with all informational and email outreach, improving social media presence on LinkedIn and writing copy for all email blasts.
“This is my first ‘real’ job after college,” she noted. “During college I had two internships, one at a marketing agency and one at a non-profit, a retirement community called Messiah Lifeways. There I did some basic design work, copywriting, interviewing and writing articles for their in-house magazine.”
Lisa added, “I think that experience has proved invaluable. The non-profit world is a different work culture and business model, which is important to understand.”
The native of Harrisburg, PA danced as part of Messiah College’s Jazz Team which performed a number of times throughout the school year for the campus community. In high school, she competed in regional horseback riding competitions and still enjoys riding recreationally. In her free, time she also likes to read, write and travel.
