Sleep EventBritain’s independent printing company, Hobs Reprographics, demonstrated the power and value of 3D printing for hotel design, for the first time ever at the Sleep Event. Hobs produced some 3D models of hotel interiors and exteriors, including miniature hotel rooms and items such as lampshades and chairs.

Hobs 3D has the largest 3D print studio in London, specialising in architectural models and interior room layouts.  A full range of 3D printing technologies is available, from full colour 3D printing, smooth clear and highly detailed plastic parts, as well as brilliant white durable functional parts.   Hobs can offer turnaround times for printing of 3D models of as little as 24 hours.   Hobs has invested £400,000 in new technologies including a 3D printing machine which produces the best resolution 3D printing possible and which can print clear models as large as 750 x 650 x 550mm in size.

Hobs offers Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) allowing clients visualise a completed project in reality, to scale and more realistically than traditional 3D imagery.
Hobs has also recently launched a 3D studio in Manchester too, offering a one stop shop for 3D scanning, 3D drawing, physical model production and reprographics, at all stages of the design process.

Commenting on Hobs 3D services, CEO of Hobs Reprographics, Kieran O’Brien says, ‘3D printing used to be brought in at the end of a development, but now 3D models can be produced right at the beginning of a development, complete with internal 3D models and landscaping if required, saving clients valuable time and money.’
