hansgrohe_NovusBathroom_Ambience_730x411The Novus range of mixers by the hansgrohe brand brings fresh, lively design to the bathroom. The modern, clean look harmonises with a variety of bathroom environments and ceramics. In addition, the many product versions make it possible to realise different bathroom layouts and customise the washbasin, shower and tub – an option also attractive to price-conscious customers.

The design language of the Novus range, which was developed in collaboration with the distinguished Phoenix Design studio, is characterised by precise contours and organic, soft curves. The lever and spout of the single-lever washbasin mixer have an upward slant, giving it a dynamic look.

The Novus line of mixers for washbasins ranges from a small single-lever mixer (for use in the guest bathroom, for example), to a three-hole mixer, and even includes a model with a 240-millimetre high swivel spout. Novus has the right mixer for every kind of use: customers can wash their hands comfortably, and use the washbasin to wash their hair, or fill containers.

Thanks to an aerated spray (hansgrohe AirPower technology) and a flow limiter that reduces the flow rate to about five litres per minute (hansgrohe EcoSmart technology), the mixers help save water while delivering a soft, full spray with minimal splashing. Limescale build up in the spout can easily be removed by rubbing the silicone nubs (hansgrohe QuickClean technology).

CoolStart saves energy costs

Washbasin models also come with hansgrohe CoolStart technology: When the lever is left in the neutral, middle position, only cold water flows. As a result, the pipes are not unnecessarily filled with warm water and tankless heaters and circulation pumps do not automatically go into operation when water flows. This, along with lower water consumption, reduces energy needs as well as CO2 emissions.

For example, this would allow a four-person household to save about 163 kilograms of CO2 per year, lowering annual energy costs by up to 64 euros. The savings potential is even greater in public or semi-public places, for example, in hotel bathrooms and public bathrooms where mixers are used much more frequently—and there is no extra charge for models with CoolStart technology.
