fritz hansen objects 2017The new Objects from Republic of Fritz Hansen are designed to add playful, truly original elements to any living space. To complement the new modular sofa Lune, Spanish designer Jaime Hayon has created several new Objects pieces: a cushion, two throws and a sofa tray.

Demonstrating Hayon’s skill and inventiveness as an artist and a sculptor, the new Objects stand out with their whimsical, playful expression. The characteristically Hayon colours and motifs come together in designs that are sure to make anyone smile, as is always the aim of Hayon’s creative work.

The cushion – in Jacquard-woven, pure-dyed cotton yarn that helps the motifs pop – references Hayon’s ceramic work and features a thoughtful and unique artistic expression. Infused with good spirits, the design adds a healthy dose of “feel-good” to any lounge setting.

The two throws, certain to become a constant source of warmth and enjoyment, are in fact small works of art featuring hand-drawn imagery in a typical Hayon motif. The Jacquard-woven pattern is expressed in two shades on the front and back, with the beige version featuring thin golden thread for a subtle shimmering effect.

The tray is the sofa’s best friend: simultaneously expressive and functional. Its high handle provides an extra dimension as both a sculptural element and a functional tool for carrying the tray and its contents.
