Frag’s 2017 collection is defined by these distinctive elements: inspiring settings, contemporary lines, precious materials and masterful attention to detail. An ambitious project through which the company broadens their proposal, heading towards various types of products dedicated to the home environment, defining its own identity even more precisely.
On the occasion of the 56th edition of the Salone del Mobile, the company therefore presents itself with a collection composed of new lines and timeless materials, stylistically consistent with its long production history. Frag’s almost centenary production of leather and hide combined with precious finishings, woods and marbles, portraying products with a discreet charm and decisive character. These are able to become the expression of an international language and a level of quality that is quintessentially Made in Italy.
Confirming a long-standing union, the display bears Ferruccio Laviani’s signature, who has reached his 7th year of collaboration with the company. The Fiera will thus open its curtains to an installation with a strong scenographic effect, balancing decisive architectural choices and fine details.
Ferruccio Laviani has also designed the new Bak bookcase – a product that premieres in the 2017 collection – defining an object composed of contrasting precious materials. The bookcase is delineated by three rectangular components in a dark brushed steel tubular shape, which crisscross each other becoming a supporting structure and constituting the distinguishing aspect of the project.
The two lateral units made of metal are clad and decorated by strips of soft leather. This is with the exception of the space found near its joints, where the metallic finish remains visible creating an additional detail that accentuates its geometry. Four walnut shelves complete the project, perfectly balancing the lightness of the metallic structure with the strength of wood.
The new bookcase presented at the Salone del Mobile 2017 extends the Bak collection, a family designed by Ferruccio Laviani for Frag consisting of a series of accessories intended for both day and night area. In addition to the bookcase, the Bak collection includes a dining table, a family of small tables, a chest and an elegant valet stand, whose lowest common denominator is a basic structure with a strong graphical and architectural identity.
Frag’s ongoing journey thus continues in the definition of a coordinated offering inspired by a contemporary and international elegance. This year the company’s simple and sophisticated style will once again become the soul and the main theme, the fil rouge of projects with a strong visual impact in a perfect balance between aesthetic and functional factors.
