Forum Responds To Speech By The Secretary Of State For Work And Pensions On Job Seekers

Forum of Private BusinessCommenting on April 7, speech by the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Iain Duncan Smith, on planned changes to make Jobseeker’s Allowance claimants better equipped for their job search, Phil Orford, Chief Executive of the Forum of Private Business, said:

Understanding what employers are looking for may well be the difference between getting a job and not. Regular meetings with Jobcentre Plus advisers will help people hone their job hunting technique and develop the basic attributes that all employers are looking for when recruiting.
