Levent Çaglar, Senior Ergonomist of FIRA will be providing answers to questions such as how can furniture and the office environment meet the needs of new technology and new ways of working?, from an ergonomics perspective during his presentation at the Health and Wellbeing at Work event on March 5, 2014 at 2:30pm at the NEC, Birmingham.
The presentation will be illustrated with examples and invite discussion and questions from the audience on:
• consequences of new technology, such as smart phones, the cloud and tablets, on the ways we work
• impact of leaner and cost-cutting approaches
• implications for the office environment
• ways forward for the design, layout and use of furniture and lighting.
Levent Çaglar is a highly qualified Ergonomist who is well-known throughout the furniture industry.
For more than 20 years, he has provided ergonomic and design expertise and guidance for office and school manufacturers internationally, as well as assisting blue-chip companies in furniture specification and evaluation for creating more efficient, healthy and happy work environments.
Levent is the principal UK ergonomics expert on European (CEN) and International (ISO) Standards committees, which are responsible for producing ergonomics Standards for educational, office, contract and domestic furniture. He is also the convenor of the British and European committees for furniture for educational institutions.
