emeco - run collectionEmeco announced the launch of the Run Collection by Sam Hecht and Kim Colin, at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, that took place in Milan from April 12 to 17.

Making their first collaboration with Emeco, Sam Hecht and Kim Colin have created a furniture collection that brings people together, to suit the way people would like to eat, study, play and work, whether indoors or out. The result is Run – a collection of tables, benches and shelves, inspired by the collective congenial atmosphere around public furniture like canteen tables, park benches and library shelves. Like these, Run feels natural for one to use and many to share.

Run can be used indoors or out, with lengths between 2400mm and 830mm, in sitting or standing heights. The collection has a restrained materials palette: Structural elements are made of extruded, non-corroding recycled aluminium in either natural or powder coated black. Plank surfaces are available in anodized aluminum, suitable for use both indoors and outdoors, or 3 types of responsibly harvested wood. Cedar is suitable for outdoor use; ash and walnut for indoor use. Wood planks are made by Amish craftsmen in nearby Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Emeco CEO, Gregg Buchbinder says, “With Run, Sam Hecht and Kim Colin have designed a collection of “pure utility.” Whether long or short, high or low, inside or outside, Run is a system that provides an architect or designer an adaptable tool that works for any application.”
