Domotex asia/Chinafloor announced new dates after rescheduling the Shanghai based trade fair owing to the health emergency in the region. One of the leading show in carpets and floor covering that was previously postponed in view of the latest situation regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19),  after due consideration the organisers decided to reschedule the event in August 31 to September 9. “This decision is motivated by our commitment to safeguarding the health of all participants, and also to ensure that the event will be in a position to live up to the high standards of quality for which it is known, thus guaranteeing success for all concerned.”

The rescheduled DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR will be staged in Shanghai. However, due to the new timeslot it needs to be relocated to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC). The NECC is Shanghai’s largest exhibition facility, and located in the direct vicinity of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.

The show’s international attendees will be treated to another rich array of unique innovations, as well as full coverage of the latest trends – designer carpets from around the world, “Treasures of the Orient” (a special display to highlight handmade carpets and rugs from India, Afghanistan, Nepal and other regions) and the “Southeast Asian Business Hub” (an exclusive showcase featuring high-quality SPC and wood flooring products), to name a few. Rounding off the show’s offerings for designers and their clientele, the Cadex Conferences and the World Flooring Forum will both be held right on site, giving attendees a close look at today’s global market today and its opportunities and challenges.

The organizers of DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR confirm that the leading flooring show in Asia Pacific will take place from August 31 to September 2, 2020 with a total of 185,000 sqm gross space. With the new date, the exhibition gets also a new location: the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), the largest exhibition center in Shanghai. The postponement of the original date (March 24-26) was necessary to protect the health and safety of exhibitors and visitors from the recent outbreak of the coronavirus in China. International visitors welcome the new dates since conveniently after the summer holidays and perfect restart of the second half of the year. Moreover, organizers research has shown that September is the month with most international visits to Chinese suppliers. The show’s organizers are in very close contact with exhibitors and participants of the upcoming edition already and will also be updating potential exhibitors and visitors as the planning of the exhibition proceeds.
