designjunction to be Seen at London Design Festival

designjunctionThe fourth edition of designjunction returns to the industrial surrounds of the Sorting Office on New Oxford Street for this year’s London Design Festival in September.

 

This year’s exciting line-up will see the return of a host of iconic brands and loyal designjunction partners including Modus, String, Innermost, Channels, Anglepoise, Mitab, Bla Station and Zero joined by newcomers to the show such as Marset, Johanson Design, Lightyears and Andreu World. Also showing at designjunction 2014 will be a stellar array of smaller, cutting-edge labels including Buster & Punch, James UK, Utopia & Utility, Bravo, and Brokis.

 

The ground floor will be transformed by more than 25 exciting new pop-up shops and high-end design stores to create a first-rate retail experience running throughout the five-day show.

 

Design-savvy visitors can expect a truly unique shopping experience with products on sale including high-end fashion accessories and fine jewellery to watches, ceramics, glassware, books, lighting and more. Some of our favourites to look out for include Outline Editions, Magma, Places& Spaces, and Native Union.

 

The vibrant flash factory area will return at designjunction 2014, bringing to life the process of industrial production, courtesy of some of the world’s leading design manufacturers.

 

The best global decorative lighting brands will be on display once again at lightjunction. Look out for key lighting brands including Jake Dyson, Lightyears, Zero, Northern Lighting, Anglepoise, Marset and Brokis. BlackBody bring a pioneering and hi-tech installation to the show, set to transform the underground space with over 2,700 O-LED pixels lighting the way for visitors from the ground floor down to the basement of the Sorting Office.

 

New brands to the show, covering the first and second floors, include Buster + Punch, James UK, DesignK, WallVision to Andreu World, Ligne Roset, Cini & Nils, and GPlan. Look out for familiar names in the industry such as Modus, Innermost, Made in Ratio, and Bla Station.

 

Celebrating the year of the bus, TfL will present a fully-serviced restaurant, exclusively designed to showcase vintage bus stops, and serving visitors an array of on-site food and drink. In line with its extensive and vibrant designs for bar and kitchenware, iconic Italian brand Alessi, will design and run a pop-up café and bar on the ground floor. There will also be a café courtesy of Italian artisan coffee makers, La Marzocco and an on-site wine bar from the Chilean Embassy.
