David OsborneThe Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) has appointed Roman MD David Osborne as the new President after the end of Steve Lee’s two-year term.

Osborne – who has been chairman of the BMA’s Centre of Excellence Group and marketing committee for the past 13 years – is following in the footsteps of his father, Gerry, who was the BMA’s first-ever president in 2001.

The appointment was announced at the BMA’s annual general meeting held today in London. Roca UK MD Alan Dodds was elected as the BMA’s first vice president and AKW group CEO Paul Massey appointed second vice president.

Osborne said: “The association is constantly going from strength to strength as the voice of the bathroom industry and is extremely busy with their rapidly growing membership, new initiatives and the Water Label Scheme.

“I am privileged to be taking over as the new president of the BMA and would like to thank Steve Lee for all his hard work and energy over the last two years. I now look forward to working closely with the association to reach new members and help develop the BMA further.”
Methven announced earlier this month that Lee – who joined the company in 2010 – had left as CEO ‘to concentrate on other business interests’.
