The Danish Embassy in Italy, Innonet Lifestyle – Interior & Clothing and 25 of the leading design manufacturers of Denmark presents the 3rd edition of DANISH LIVINGroom, in exhibition at SaloneInternazionale del Mobilein Milan from April 8 – 13. The exhibition is co-financed by The Trade Council of Denmark and can be found in Pavilion 10 stand B03.
Design is at the core of our everyday lives. Whether we are aware of it or not, furniture and design embrace our body and create and define the spaces and surfaces we interact with while working, sleeping, eating and relaxing, not forgetting our children’s playtime. Design enhances our environment and quality of daily life.
Danish design is characterised by a holistic approach towards integrating furniture and lighting with architecture and everyday design items to create coherent environments with strong identities and ease of function.
With the DANISH LIVINGroom the vision is to display our Danish design companies’ creations within a Danish “living” context. The exhibition is designed by up-coming spatial designer Line Falk, founding partner of the design community thefolio.org.
Line Falk on the exhibition: “The Nordic spirit is revisited in DANISH LIVINGroom 2014; this year we will be bringing you colourful interpretations of Danish living rooms. Great masterpieces from the past are displayed alongside new, innovative and experimental designs. We see handcrafted wood and beautiful textiles, using intense colours, while tableaus of accessories in porcelain, brass, copper and glass tell a colourful story about those living there.”
The installation takes the shape of an atmospheric residence to accommodate and enchant you with a real feel of Danish living – take a moment to relish the quality of Danish design.
