The Andover-based company has been shortlisted for the Blake Morgan Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Award, which aims to recognise organisations that have demonstrated commitment to promoting sustainable behaviours and practices.
MD Nick McGrellis said the company prides itself on its “corporate conscience”. He added: “We believe that embedding an ethical approach throughout our operations is not only the right thing to do, but also makes good business sense.
“With the bathroom accounting for more than 60% of water use in the home, a firm commitment to water efficiency is at the heart of our operations and product portfolio – from playing an instrumental role in the development of the Water Label to launching our latest water-saving shower range, Aqua Air.”
Croydex said it was one of the first companies to sign up to the Bathroom Manufacturers Association’s – BMA – European Water Label. It added that its Aqua Air range of shower products offers ‘savings of up to 50% water reduction compared to normal showers’.
Winners of the Hampshire Business Awards will be announced on September 30 at The Guildhall, Winchester.
