citco venusFor the 56th Salone del Mobile, Citco reinterprets the concept of contemporary luxury, adding iconic new pieces to its design collection. The outstanding team of international talents with whom the company has developed its collection of furnishings complements to date is now joined by Ora-ïto.

The French designer has created Venus, a chaise lounge with a sinuous, almost anthropomorphic image. Skilfully produced from a single block of marble, the piece stands out for its ability to transmit energy: the surface reflects light, swapping its original coldness for a hint of warmth that almost seems to make it come to life.

The fertile collaboration with the Israeli designer Arik Levy, who has already created several pieces for Citco, continues this year with Mineral Structures, a bookcase extracted from a single stone volume, hollowed and crafted with the finest technologies and then finished by the skilled hands of specialised craftsmen.

citco arek levy“These Mineral Structures are an abstract manifest of the mineral and architectural structures that combine visual dynamics and construction. The volumes interact with each-other creating kinetic movement and depth. Resulting with external versus internal spaces, these open-end containers are not only a sculptural expression but also domestic theatre for culture as in books, sculptures, objects and memories”.

Once again, Citco demonstrates its capacity to reinvent the identity of an object that represents itself but can also be transformed into a work of art.

The Verona-based company, with roots in the finest culture of Made in Italy, combines tradition and innovation in keeping with the rules of excellence, to create works with daring, fascinating forms.
