British Furniture Manufacturers secures funding for mission to China

The British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM) has been granted funding  from UK Trade & Investment for companies to visit the SIFE in March this year. The number of available spaces are limited and the grant amounts to £1000 per company. The offer is exclusive to BFM member companies.

Jackie Bazeley, BFM MD said, ‘This is an ideal opportunity for companies seriously considering exhibiting in China during 2015. The Shenzhen fair offers access to the domestic market and the mission will allow company representatives to experience the exhibition, gather up to date market information and assess the prospects for the UK furniture in the Chinese market’.

In addition the BFM is endeavouring to arrange meetings in order to introduce company representatives to:

• The Shenzhen Furniture Trade Association (organisers of the exhibition)
• The Chinese and British Business Council (CBBC)
• Companies/agents who can connect western manufacturers to Chinese retail opportunities and assist western companies as they do business in China
• Shippers
