Australian Furniture Industry Awards 2014 Winners Announced

Australian Furniture AssociationThe Australian Furniture Industry Awards are the pinnacle of recognition for outstanding design and manufacturing practices in the Australian furniture Industry. This year’s Awards were held on Saturday July 12 under the magnificent dome of Melbourne’s World Heritage Listed Exhibition Building. With an outstanding array of nominations received including a record number of student nominated pieces, this year’s awards were a true testament to the spirit of the Australian furniture industry.

Quarter Curved Audiovisual Unit by Christian Cole Furniture, Victoria
The Quarter Curved employs the innovative technique of using solid timber curved with finger joints. The edges are then hand-painted and sanded to create a natural line. The drawers have been dovetailed and feature premium quality Blum Movento push catch runners.
